Update Graduation Information Viewing Graduand “To Do List” The “To Do List” item/s are documents required from a graduand for submission at the University Of Cape
Town. The Graduand is required to update all the required items listed under the “To Do List” on the Student
center page.
The list will be displayed on your Student Center under “To Do List”. It is important to read
the information under “To Do List” and to complete what is required from you. Some “To Do List” will require
you to access a hyperlink provided on the Student Center for completion once you become a potential
graduand e.g. The Graduation Exit Survey. Once all “To Do List” items have been completed, the list of
requirements will be removed.
You will have to contact the Career Service Office should you encounter problems in
accessing the survey on this link: www.mycareer.uct.ac.za alternatively send them an email on

Updating Address after Graduation
• Click Green arrow button to expand view indicator
• Click edit field

• Click Return button
You will have to update the “To Do List” item according to the instruction/s provided. The
Due Date is the day the “To Do List” item must be completed by.
• Click dropdown listbox to select Student Center
Clicking on the dropdown list box will take you to the Student Center page
• Click GO button

You are required to confirm if the address that exists will be used after graduation by simply
clicking the Confirm Addresses button . If the address needs to be changed, click
edit button, update the address and click OK button. You will then click the
save button and confirm your address by clicking the button

Updating “To Do List” to confirm programme information
• Click edit field
• Click Return button
• Click dropdown listbox to select Student Center

Clicking on the dropdown list box will take you back to the Student Center page
• Click GO button
• Click My Academics hyperlink
You are required to check if the Programme and Major Specialisation are correct. When it is correct click on the Confirm Programme button
If the Programme and Major Specialisations are incorrect, contact the Faculty Office as a matter of urgency.
Do another check to see if it has been correctly updated by the Faculty Office. When it is correct click the
Confirm Programme button once the Faculty Office has made corrections.

Completing the Graduation Exit Survey Completing the Graduation Exit Survey is enable UCT to gather information about your experience at the
university and your post-graduation plans. The information is useful for planning and improving future
practices and services at the university and among its various stakeholders within Higher Education.

Updating attendance for Graduation Ceremony
Graduand is required to change the status of attendance for the Graduation
Path: Student Center
1. Click edit field

Select dropdown listbox to update Status column
3. Click Status dropdown listbox to select status
4. Click Save
5. Click Address certificate button

Graduand is required to enter the address in which they would like their certificate to be
posted. The required data must be updated even if you will attend the graduation
6. Click Return to Future Meetings button
7. Click Save
Updating Related UCT Alumni The Related UCT Alumni to do list enables you to add or update family members who are former graduates at
the University of Cape Town.
1. Click Add A Contact hyperlink

2. Enter Contact Name textbox
3. Click Relationship dropdown listbox to select Relationship
You will have select relationship status of the person you are adding as a former graduate
4. Click Edit Address hyperlink
5. Click Confirm Details button
6. Click Save
If address of family member is the same as for graduand, you will then Tick the Same
Address as Individual checkbox. If the family member address is new, click
button to add the address. If the address is already existing, edit when there is change of address
Once the address is changed or added please confirm address by clicking on the
button

Verify Names for Graduation
Graduands are required to check if Primary names in PeopleSoft are the same as the names
on their Official Identity Documents. If the names are incorrect, Graduands will have to contact Student
Records and check on the system again if names have been updated correctly. They will then be required to
confirm by clicking the button
Once graduand/s has updated and confirmed all “To Do List” item, they will notice that the
will be no more lists to update
