Task One: Writing a Letter to Parents This will be a very important part of getting the puppy you want. Without your parents’ permission you will not be able to accomplish your goal. In order to get your parents on board you will need to convince them that you are ready to handle the responsibility of being the owner of an animal as needy and complex as a dog.

1.Make a first draft of your letter to your parents

2.Have teacher look over the draft and give you feedback and changes to make

3.Check after any changes are made to see if you have included everything that you need to convince your parents that you are ready to handle the responsibility

4.Make a final draft5.With permission you can begin researching how to get a dog, which breed you would be interested in, and learn to create a schedule which will allow you to care for a dog.

Task Four: Creating A Daily Schedule of Care

The ProcessThe Process

1. Create a Daily Schedule of care! Puppies need a lot of tender love and care! It is a big job to take care of puppies. When

looking to buy a puppy or having just bought one, it is always a good idea to see what kind of care puppies will need. After researching what kind of care your puppy will need, you will want to make a daily schedule of what you will do for your puppy and at what time with detailed instructions. This way you can show how responsible you will be in caring for your puppy! 2. To research what kind of care your puppy will need, you will have to take the breed you chose in task #1 on picking a breed and making a brochure, and see what kind of care that puppy takes! You can use this website as a resource. http://www.eukanuba.com/en-US/puppy-guide/top-10-puppy-care-tips.jspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Eukanuba_Search_Desktop_Lifestyle&utm_term=%2Bpuppy%20%2Bcare&utm_content=sX6lLFCbu_%2Bpuppy%20%2Bcare_b_13029403563 This site tells you ten tips on caring for puppies and how to prepare for one in your home! The next site tells you tips on dog care according to your breed: http://www.dog-breeds-online.com/dog-care.html Type of care can include: what type of dog food your puppy will eat, when it needs potty breaks, when you will take it for walks, when you will take time to play with it, and when the puppy will rest. 3. Once you have researched the type of care your puppy will need, you can now make your puppy it’s daily schedule! Follow this outline by making a table with days of the week, and the type of care the puppy will need each week, according to what you looked up for your breed. Most schedules will be similar because all puppies typically need the same basic care. Here is an example for you to work off of.
