  • Senate Bill 1 established a five-day test window in the last 14 (instructional) days of a districts calendar for the 2012 K-PREP. Five-day schedule is a school schedule, not a grade by grade schedule. The levels are elementary, middle and high school. The five days must be consecutive. Any day a regular test session is scheduled is considered a test day, no matter how long or short a session you have scheduled.   • It is important to schedule start times of sessions to allow time between sessions for extended time (regular time, time and a half and double time) for IEP, 504 Plan or PSP students. The expected time should be adequate for all students. Extended time allowed only for those with accommodations in an IEP, 504 Plan, or PSP. Make arrangements for students who need extended time to have a place to complete the test, so that other students can go back to instructional activities. 61 Be aware of need for accommodations as you create the school test schedule. Tape must be on the corners of the text being inserted but not covering multiple choice answers, barcodes or timing tracks. Place clear desk tape at least on the four corners of the printed response so the pages are securely in place and will not move around when the booklet is moved, opened, closed, packaged or during shipping. Step 4 Return all completed used student response booklets to the DAC immediately after the testing window. The UPS pick-up dates will be determined on the districts testing window.
