Requirements
• Provide 802.11G Broadband Access to the entire Dorm Complex 22 Buildings 365 Bedrooms 500 Students
• “DSL speed” to every student.• Easy for all students to access and use.• Positioned securely to avoid tampering.• Competitive pricing.• Reliable and secure.

Proposed Deployment
• Use 802.11g for coverage. • Use 802.11a for backhaul.• Use 2 existing connections to university network.• 24 Nodes in total

Wired Nodes
The Wired Nodes will have the following:
• Ethernet Connection back to University Network.• 802.11a radio to accept incoming associations• 802.11g radio for coverage within building.• External Omni-directional Antenna which will be placed on roof of
building.• External Fan Beam for coverage within building.

Relay Nodes
The Relay Nodes will have the following:
• 802.11a radio to accept incoming associations• 802.11a radio to initiate association back to wired Nodes.• 802.11g radio for coverage within building.• External Module to support 3rd antenna.• External Omni-directional Antenna which will be placed on roof of
building for incoming associations.• External Fan Beam for coverage within building.• External directional for connection to wired Nodes.

Wireless Nodes
The Wireless Nodes will have the following:
• 802.11a radio to initiate association back to wired Nodes.• 802.11g radio for coverage within building.• External Fan Beam for coverage within building.• External directional for connection to wired Nodes.
