TRANSCRIPT
Welcome back! We hope you all had a wonderful winter break with family and friends and are ready for an exciting, fun-filled third term! It was lovely to see
smiles on so many children's faces on Monday, although I did note even bigger smiles on most parents‟ faces ! (I'm sure they are relieved that the holidays are over and their households can get back to normal) Our Junior and Senior toilets are having a makeover. These should be completed in a few weeks time. Please be reminded that school starts at 07h40 sharp and even a late arrival of 5 minutes is very disruptive to the entire class.
The strong community ethos of the school is reinforced by the school uniform. We ask that children arrive at school wearing the CORRECT uniform. Please could I reiterate school policy that shoes are expected as footwear and not takkies or trainers. Our CityKidz school bag is compulsory (This excludes Grade 7’s for this year.) Many thanks for your support with this.
I am delighted to inform you that on 29 June Mrs Beukes gave birth to Blayke and on the 5th of July Thembi “Tuckshop” gave birth to a boy, Tumelo. Mothers and babies are doing well. Mrs Kruger resigned. Mr Mubeen Hoosein is joining our team in the Intersen Phase. We are convinced he will add value and look forward to his input.
On Saturday 29th July we will be conducting our termly „Meet the Teachers‟ and handing out Term 2 reports. The time is from 08h00– 11h00. There is a staff meeting which starts promptly at 11h00 for all staff members. Reports can then be collected from the office until 12h30. This will be an opportunity for you to meet your child‟s class teacher and discuss his/her report and the expectations required to enhance his/her performance. This is a vital opportunity for all parents to be informed and to assist in his/her child‟s educational progress. Children are welcome to attend to hear the messages delivered by their teachers. Personal discussions will need a private appointment. Finally, may I take this opportunity to wish all our families all the best for what I‟m sure will be a very exciting and wonderful third term.
