2019 is an exciting year at STRIVE, as we celebrate our 20th
Anniversary!
Our 20th Anniversary Celebration will take place Saturday, January 25th, 2020 at the Portland Marriott at Sable Oaks.
In the past 20 years, we’ve been able to grow from a small drop-in
center in the heart of Portland with just 4 clients on our first Friday
social, to supporting 1,000+ tweens, teens and young adults with
intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Maine. STRIVE now has more than 10 programs, all addressing the realms of social, educational, vocational and transitional skills.
We hope you’ll consider joining us as a sponsor of our 20th
Anniversary Celebration. Sponsors will be featured in regional
advertising within the Greater Portland market, targeted mailings to a list serve of over 5,500 homes and digital engagement. During the event, sponsors will also be highlighted in front of 400 community members and STRIVE families in attendance.
What is STRIVE?
STRIVE is a nonprofit in South Portland, Maine that serves over 950 tweens, teens, and young adults with developmental disabilities.
Founded in 1999, STRIVE opened its doors to young adults with developmental disabilities as a place to socialize with peers on Friday nights.
Today, STRIVE continues to grow and cur-rently consists of over ten social,
educational, employment, and post-secondary programs:
