Obviously stressful situations High blood pressure- damages blood vessel in eye; the

higher and longer your blood pressure is the worse the damage will be in your eye vision; Possible to cause permanent damage in eyes bc there is either not enough blood supply to the eye or the blood is trapped in the eye bc the veins are blocked ex) bloody eyes, blood shot

Low blood pressure- will also causes it bc not enough blood into the eyes; part of the reason there are blurred vision; ex) when you faint

HOW IT HAPPENS Two things happen to cause disturbance in eye vision; When pupils dilate; it lets in more light which will then causes eye pain Fight or flight response is activates pupils will dilate; depending on how bad it vision could be worse Total of 6 muscles around the eyeball 3 muscles are used to move the eyeball in different directions The other 3 are used for the focus and the are involved with the lens in the eye Depending on where we look, how we feel, how we think the eye may shorten or on the other hand it

may actually stretch Ex) like a bellows camera; bc it has a focus and you can change the length Show picture of camera To elongate or stretch the eye, the muscles circle the eye like a belt and the muscles begin to tighten In other words, squeezing the eyeball This may happen when there is fear present, when someone feels threatened OR in any other

situation of STRESS

* When it happens, it only makes it worse bc most people panic and thinking to much about it. Treatment in few slides ahead.
