Cable Adjustments and Maintenance

When the S3.19 is completely assembled, you need tocheck the cables for proper tension. Obvious signs thatcable problems exist include:

✔ Top Cap Weight does not rest squarely on the topweight of the Weight Stack.

✔ Cables rub the inside edges of the pulleys.

✔ Excess slack exists in the cables.

✔ Weight Pin cannot be easily inserted in or removedfrom each hole in the Weight Stack.

✔ Selector Stem rubs inside the Weight Stack.

CAUTION: Take the time to perform the followingsteps. If the cables do not have the proper tensionyou could void the Precor Limited Warranty.

Important: To access the cables attached to theSelector Stem and two Floating Pulleys, you will needto remove the shrouds.

D. Adjust the threaded ends on the Single FloatingPulleys so the amount showing is the same on allboth pulleys. Retighten the jam nuts.

Note: You may need to loosen the jam nuts beforemaking adjustments.

E. Adjust the Weight Stack threaded end. Retightenthe jam nuts.

CAUTION: For safety reasons, always make sureto turn the screw three to four full turnsso that the threads are engaged inside theSelector Stem or Floating Pulleys beforetightening the jam nuts.
