Up the Game for Recruitment.February 24 -26, 2014 | Royal Caribe Suites | Orlando, Fl

SummitRecruitment

These Days Talent Acquisition Needs To Be Able To Do All the Below:

1. Collaborate on Talent Pipelines and Engage Outstanding Candidate Experiences2. Engage with Teams on Marketing & Talent Attraction & Social Recruiting 3. Partner with Mobile, Social Media, & the Cloud on Technology Innovation

4. Engage in Data Driven Decision-making with Hiring Managers and the Business 5. Adapt Talent Acquisition to Strategic Staffing Needs for Globalization

Once upon a time you may have been a Recruiter and you became an expert in the fundamentals of filing Reqs quickly and efficiently.

In 2013 and coming into 2014, the speed of change in Talent Acquisition, Strategic Staffing, and Recruitment must feel practically like trying to catch up with a non-stop runaway train!

We are mostly all familiar with the Big Picture. Recruitment is becoming closer to marketing and sales. You depend on your branding. You need a social recruiting strategy. You have to master social media. You rely on your technology. You talk about data and analytics. Which of these new practices are not sticking?

The upside is the incredible bursts of innovation and change that technology has brought. We need to know this better.

But we also know the downside. This includes the difficulty of landing the top talent, and the pressures that stem from global demographic demands in a constrained resource environment. We need efficiencies and effective strategies.

Strategic Recruitment is a team sport. In being pro-active and engaging with candidates and hiring managers, upping your game with collaborating and partnering will be tremendously helpful.

It’s literally a “revolution” and that can mean ‘creative destruction’ of old methods. The lens of this year’s Agenda is looking at how recruiting is reverberating throughout the organization in areas from talent attraction strategies, employer branding, social media sourcing, mobile recruiting, big data analytics, and cloud technologies, and globalization impacts as well as speaking the language of data-driven decision-making.

There are case studies from all these arenas, and extra time is set aside in interactive sessions to engage with each other, so that the excitement can be shared across industries. Bring back tips, shortcuts, and practices that work culled from Top Tier Companies to mid-sized organizations.

You will really benefit from many of the passionate, exciting practitioners that are coming to speak here!

8:10-8:15 Welcome to the Conference8:15-9:00 Connecting the dots between Strategic Talent Management, Business Strategy, and

Strategic Recruitment!

In our volatile global economy with both rapid technology and market change, staffing executives have come to expect that frequent changes in strategy and tactics are a given to compete. How do we in recruiting add value and support the business by aligning hiring to their needed capability and capacity in order that the organization can meet these challenges head on in the near, short and long term?

» How does your company’s talent strategy & business model impact recruitment strategy? » What is the new talent acquisition DNA required for a real pro active recruitment process?

Kevin Rutherford, Principal, Talent Leap; Formerly, VP, HR Borders and SVP, HR Michaels Arts and Crafts; Former Senior Faculty and Trainer, SWP, HCI 2005 - 2010

9:00-9:45 Predictive Hiring: How to Predict Which Candidates will Succeed in Your Organization

The facts are clear – most companies today need to do a better job selecting talent. Recent survey data collected by the Corporate Executive Board indicates that nearly a quarter of all new hires leave their companies within a year, and that hiring managers wish that they never extended an offer to one of every five members of their team. And a recent Gallup survey found that 52% of American workers were “not engaged” with their work and another 18% were “actively disengaged.”

Can you afford to miss an opportunity to learn how best-in-class organizations are using new technologies to scientifically assess talent before hiring, resulting in lower turnover, higher job performance, and greater employee engagement?

In this presentation, you will:

» Learn about new solutions that predict candidate success. » Discover how best-in-class organizations are incorporating these new solutions into their hiring process.

» See the bottom-line results realized by these best-in-class practitioners.

10:15 – 11:00 PANEL DISCUSSION: Building the Case for Candidate Experience - From the Evidence

What exactly would it mean if candidates and employers were ‘partners’ when it came to sharing information about themselves during the business process we call ‘recruiting’? Would it change how employers present themselves? Would they be more transparent, more authentic, more likely to listen to unqualified applicants; more likely to train their recruiters to handle feedback? How would you measure it?

Would treating ALL candidates better even make a difference in the quality of candidates that applied? Would it impact conversion rates, retention, referrals by candidates who weren’t even hired? How about its effect on how customers…who are often candidates, would they continue to purchase products and services…or not?
