Daly et al (2005) describes Recreation Planning as a people-orientated process that brings together information about the rational allocation of recreation and sport resources to meet the present and future requirements of communities

My role:To research, analyse, plan and implement strategic sport and recreation programs, infrastructure and direct key stakeholders to meet present and future sport and recreation needs of the community

Duties• Council/state strategic planning committees

– Charlton Sports Precinct– Highfields Sports Park– Trail Development committees• Urban Planning committees• Sustainable and active transport committees• Assess and review all funding programs• Lockyer Valley Regional Council• Project manage major infrastructure; Toowoomba Regional Tennis Centre,

Lockyer Valley Aquatic Centre• Get Playing Plus – Program coordinator• Mentor Advisors• Regional Infrastructure Portfolio• Parks and Leisure Australia – Advisory Executive• Darling Downs School Sports Board• Ipswich Sports House Board
