The Fit Nest at Strasburg Rec offers a variety of services to the I-70 corridor community. The Fit Nest has regularly scheduled group fitness classes, special events, and Zumba birthday par-ties. We also offer personal training, home-based fitness programs through our online fitness, and distance coaching program. It is free to become a member! Membership allows you to receive updates, emails, and special offers. Fitness class punch cards are just $50* for 10 classes, or $55* for one month of unlimited classes. The first class is always FREE! For the most current Class Schedule—please click on the FITNESS tab at www.StrasburgParks.org. Classes are offered at different times of the year in special sessions. NOTE: The Fit Nest will be closed during July, but we will still have options for you to workout during our hiatus! *$5 Discount for Strasburg Residents

FITNESS SPRING TRAINING: BEAST MODE

The 2016 Beast Mode Spring Training Program will consist of 4 weeks of unlimited Fitness Classes at The Fit Nest, access to pre-scheduled Beast Mode Training Clinics, two Fitness Assessments including body composition, Dietary Coaching and Accounta-bility, and free entry to Run to the Rails 5K in August. The focus of this program is to improve physical performance including strength, speed, agility, flexibility and overall health. You are competing against yourself! So to help you stay motivated and focused, we will be doing physical assessments at the beginning and end of the program to gauge improvement.

Discovery Time Preschool was established in 1989 and is operated by the Stras-burg Parks and Rec District. It is our mission to provide a fun, safe and secure learning environment where creativity is always encouraged. Discovery Time Preschool believes that early child-hood education should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration and discovery. We want to help children transition into primary school with the ability to make good choices as well as being academically prepared. PICKLEBALL OPEN GYM Pickleball is a cross between tennis, table tennis and badminton. It is played on a court slightly smaller than a tennis court with wooden pad-dles and a plastic wiffle ball. The object of the game is to hit the ball so that your opponent is unable to hit it back over the net. You don’t need a set partner, just show up and play! CAKE DECORATING Whether you are new to cake decorating or have been decorating for years, you will be proud of the new techniques you will learn with step-by-step instruction. AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE A five-week introductory course in American Sign Language. Students will learn the basics of language, be taught simple conversations, and cover topics such as the manual alphabet, numbers, feelings, yes and no questions, facial expressions, cultural aspects, and more.
