STORM PETREL IN CO. TYRONE.

Following the severe westerly gale of 18th-19th October, 1936, a male

Storm Petrel, Hydrobates pelagicus (L.), was picked up dead on a road near Fintona, Co. Tyrone. The bird, which was forwarded to me by the

Rev. E. M. Guraley, B.D., of Clanabogan Rectory, Omagh, showed no sign of injury and presumably had succumbed through exhaustion,

Belfast, J. A. SIDNEY STENDALL.
