convenient, the web version is easy to navigate and very user-friendly.

What Is It?

Here’s How to Access and Use StoriesEdit on Web


StoriesEdit is a Stories design tool that allows you to create and customize your Stories content to fit your brand aesthetics with our selection of designer templates and editing options. You can look like you’ve got a

design team behind your brand even if you’re a one person team.

Simply go to www.planoly.com/storiesedit on your web browser. It also works in a very similar way to the StoriesEdit mobile app.

1. When you get to the StoriesEdit home page, you’ll see a selection of templates to choose from 2. Scroll through the templates until you find one you want to use, and then click on your desired

template 3. From there, you can add text, add shapes, change the background color, or add images. When changing

the colors, you can choose from our specific swatches or slide your mouse through the color board to find your perfect match. *StoriesEdit Tip: Manually enter in your color using a HEX code, RGB, or HSL

4. At the bottom of the design section, you have the option to delete, download, or send your Instagram Story design to your PLANOLY account. *Note: If you choose to send your design straight to PLANOLY , you must be signed in or you’ll be prompted to sign in. Select your account, then click “SEND”. When you go to your PLANOLY Stories Planner, you’ll find your saved designs there

The Homepage


1 . “GO TO PLANOLY DASHBOARD”

• Clicking this link will open Planoly.com in a NEW tab • If the user is NOT logged in, Planoly.com home page is displayed • User can Sign up with email or Instagram • User can Log in with an existing account • If the user is already logged in, GRID view of Planoly.com is displayed

2. TEMPLATE SELECTOR

• This section displays the templates available • Scrolling down will show more templates • Single/double click on any template will open the “Template Editor”

After selecting a template, you’ll notice a workspace appear on the left hand side of your screen. This is a workspace for each template with tools for: TEXT, SHAPES, BACKGROUND and IMAGE

REQUIREMENTS

• We only support JPG and PNG files • There is no limit on the file size. We have tested with 70KB files up to 8 MB files

HOW TO ADD AN IMAGE

1. Click “+” in the media container in the template 2. Click “CHOOSE YOUR IMAGE” This opens the file explorer on your computer 3. Only eligible files (JPG , PNG) files will be selectable 4. Selected image will be displayed in the media container

Note: If you click “IMAGE” directly, it will ask you to select the container, since templates can have multiple media containers.

EDITING AN IMAGE

1. Image can be resized only within the container 2. Image can be repositioned only within the container 3. Some templates have media container backgrounds that can be changed 4. Double clicking the background will bring up the color picker and allow you to change the color.

Hex color, RGB values and RSL values can also be edited 5. If there are multiple containers in a template, the layering will be as per the template 6. To remove an image, click on it and click “Remove Image” 7. Images can be scaled to “FIT TO SCALE,” “FULL SIZE,” and “16:9” 8. To replace an image, click on it and click “CHOOSE YOUR IMAGE”. Select the new image and it

will replace the current image 9. Text and Shape layers can be added on top of images. The element added last will be on top

ADDING/EDITING SHAPES

1. Different shapes can be added to the template. Simply click on the shape you want to add 2. Shape colors can be edited by:

A. Color picker B. Hex code C. RGB values D. RSL values

3. To delete a shape, click on the shape and click “DELETE SHAPE” 4. Shapes cannot be rotated 5. Shapes can be resized / repositioned within the template 6. Color of some existing template shapes can be edited by double clicking them

For example in the template above: A. Top bar can be changed by double clicking it B. The bottom triangle can be changed by double clicking it C. The bottom section can be changed by double clicking it D. The thin line below the Subtitle can be changed by double clicking it

ADDING/EDITING TEXT

1. Template texts and custom text can be added / edited 2. Only 3 custom texts can be added 3. Fonts can be changed from the dropdown box 4. Font size, spacing and line spacing can be edited 5. Bold, Italics and font case can be edited only for certain fonts 6. Text justification can be edited - Left, Center, Right 7. Font colors can be edited by:

A. Color picker B. Hex code C. RGB values D. HSL values

8. To delete text, click on the text box and click “DELETE TEXT”

CHANGING THE BACKGROUND COLOR

1. To change the background color, click the “BACKGROUND” tool in the tools panel on the left 2. Background colors can be edited by:

A. Color picker B. Hex Values C. RGB Values D. HSL Values

3. You can delete the template, download to computer or send to your PLANOLY account 4. Clicking the back arrow will delete the existing template

*Please note: in this first release of StoriesEdit WEB, images are only available to add into your stories templates, NOT video. Video will be updated in a later release so we’ll keep you updated on that!

We have an amazing variety of templates to choose from for all of your Instagram Story design needs, and we’ll be adding more on a regular basis! Always remember to either “DOWNLOAD” to save your designs

when you’re finished designing, as there is no option to “SAVE” besides that and we don’t want you to lose your beautiful work! The design possibilities are truly endless with StoriesEdit! We love seeing all
