MOTHER’S DAY GIFT POTS These pretty flowerpots are simple to make and can be filled with treats to make a special gift for Mother’s Day. By varying the message, they could be used for any occasion. Then, using the templates, cut out the daffodil shape from thin orange card and glue to the top of the lolly stick. 2 Paint the plant pot with lilac paint and leave to dry. It may take a couple of coats to get a good coverage. 3 Glue the yellow pompom into the centre of the orange flower and then cut out some leaf shapes from green card and attach them to the back of the stem. Using a medium black pen, add your Mother’s Day greeting. 4 Decorate the rim of the pot by gluing buttons around it and glue the flower stem onto the inside of the rim. Then fill it with your chosen treats! Further Idea Why not use this project as a basis to explore different flower species and plant and flower anatomy? ALTERNATIVE The Daisy Gift Pot is made in exactly the same way just using a different flower template and alternative coloured paint and card.
