The pretty village of Husthwaite lies to the east of the A19, 18 miles north of York and 9 miles south of the market town of Thirsk. The A19 links with the region’s major routes of the A1 and A64, allowing easy travel south towards Leeds and Harrogate, and north to Teesside and Tyneside.

The village stands on elevated land above the Vale of York, directly adjacent to the southern boundary of the beautiful North York Moors National Park. There is an active community based around the newly-constructed village hall, and the highly-regarded Husthwaite Primary and Nursery School.

Immediately to the south is the popular and picturesque Georgian market town of Easingwold, which offers a wide range of amenities including pubs, restaurants and cafes, specialist shops and a couple of small supermarkets.
