Seriously...we are celebrating Chocolate Day at

Stitchers Crossing. What better way to celebrate than to have a drawing for 2 boxes of Mauries Fine Choco-lates of Madison!!

Mauries owner, Cher, a second generation choco-

latier surprised us with a beautiful box of chocolates when she stopped in for thread. So after our taste test, how could we not want to “spread the love”!

Cher opened her business at 1637 Monroe Street in

1993 and named it after her father, Maurie, who owned a candy kitchen in Illlinois. Cher has her father’s original recipes and follows his principles:

• Be kind and generous in spirit and behavior • Use the highest quality ingredients • Never rush the process • Keep Maurie’s Chocolate recipes a family se-
