    1. God Owns Everything.

'The silver is mine and the gold is mine,'

declares the LORD Almighty.-- Haggai 2:8

Ihave no need of a bull from your stall or

of goats from your pens, foreveryanimal

ofthe forest is mine, and the cattle on a

    thousand hills.

    -- Psalms 50:9-10

    2. GOD OWNS EVERYTHING - YOU OWN NOTHING

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavenand the earth.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift

is from above, and cometh down from the Father of

lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow

of turning. Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's

womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave,

and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name

    of the Lord.Therefore:

Rev. 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to

receive glory and honour and power: for

thou hast created all things, and for thy

pleasure they are and were created.

the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant,

which he swore toyourforefathers, as it is today. --

1 Tim. 6:17-18 Charge them that are rich in this world, that

they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but

in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; [18]

That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to

    distribute, willing to communicate;

    The key lies in our

    attitude

Financial Self-disciplineIt's important to control our wants. Financial success

    shall not be rich.

andoil in the dwellingof the wise; but a

    foolish man spendeth it up.

    1. Motivation - the "want to

Proverbs 21:20 Be thou diligent to know the state of

thy flocks, and look well to thy herds. For riches are not

The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the

righteous give generously -- Psalms 37:21

weights are his delight. -- Proverbs 11:1

    our behavior

you, this we commandedyou, that if any

    disorderlyamongyou; [8] Neitherdid we eat

anyman's breadfornought; but wrought withlabourand travail night and day, that we might

sparingly shall reap also sparingly;and he which soweth bountifully

shall reap also bountifully. [7] Every

man according as he purposeth in his

heart, so let him give; not grudgingly,

orofnecessity: forGod loveth acheerful giver. [8] AndGod is able

to make all grace abound toward

    TRUE SECURITY

Lasting security is found not in a big bank account,

but in building strength of character and a goodreputation.

No lasting security is to be found in wealth.

Prov. 11:28 He that trusteth in his riches shallfall: but the

    righteous shallflourish as a branch.

So many unforeseen events can wipe out material

wealth overnightan accident, natural disaster, an

    extended illness, a criminal act.

The only lasting security is a right relationship

with our Maker. Prov.11:4 Riches do not profit in the dayofwrath, but

    righteousness delivers from death

Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses:

but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
