UW-Stevens Point Risk ManagementRisk Management is a unit of Business Affairs. The mission of the Risk Management Department is to assist and provide direction, leadership and service for the university in meeting its responsibilities to protect the university’s employees, community, assets, interests and environment. The department provides program and services to the UW-Stevens Point campus in the areas listed below in an effort to improve safety, meet obligations, comply with regulations, and continuously enhance performance.

Hazardous Materials and Waste Management

• Management of campus hazardous and specialwaste program

• Hazardous waste and special waste managementin accordance with state and federal regulations

• Manage campus HazMat and SPCC spill responseand reporting requirements

• Environmental management• Property and building EHS-related inspections• Annual reporting (WEM, DNR, EPA)• Safety Data Sheet (SDS) administrator• Pick up service weekly• Quarterly disposal service
