SteSteven Cohen is a Principal in the Accounting and Auditing Department and has been with the firm since 1996. Steven specializes in the audits of higher education, government entities, not-for-profit organizations and automobile dealerships. Steven has consulted with numerous organizations to improve their profitability, in-ternal controls structure and compliance with Federal and state laws and regula-tions.Steven is a certified governmental financial manager (CGFM). This certification demonstrates his commitment to expanding his knowledge in the highly technical government area. Steven has managed other government audit engagements, in-cluding our incurred cost and overhead audits for the Massachusetts Highway De-partment and Central Artery Tunnel Project (a/k/a “The Big Dig”) and our internal control work for the U.S. Postal Service. Steven has also assisted two of his govern-mental clients to receive the Compressive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) certificate for excellence in financial reporting. In addition, he has presented numerous semi-nars on various higher education topics at conferences nationwide.
