The need for a carefully prepared passage plan applies to all vessels and is detailed in SOLAS Chapter V Regulation 34 and IMO Resolution A.983(21).
2014 – 514 PSC deficiencies in Paris MOU under ‘Voyage or passage plans’ category:
• 199 vessels – “Not as required” • 145 vessels – “Lack of information” • 92 vessels – “Incomplete” • 75 vessels – “Missing”
