What did Jesus say about stress?

The Bible on the word ‘stress’:

• ESV – zero uses

• KJV – zero uses

• NIV – 1 use (Titus 3v8)

• NLT – 2 uses (Rom 11v3; Psalm 119v143)

The word ‘stress’ is never used by Jesus

What is stress?

“a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding

circumstances”

What things cause YOU to feel stressed?

How did Jesus handle stress?

2. He got into a place where he could process what was going on

3. He asked for support from close friends

4. He told his friends how he felt

5. He prayed ‘if’

6. He prayed ‘Father’

7. He prayed more than once

8. He prayed for a long time

9. He submitted to the Father’s will

10. He worshipped
