2. A presentation by 3. Steven Paul Jobs (February 24, 1955 October 5, 2011)was an American businessman and inventor widely recognized as a charismatic pioneer of the personal computer revolution. He was co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. Jobs also co-founded and served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios; he became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, following the acquisition of Pixar by Disney. 4. Steven Paul Jobs was born in San Francisco on 24 February 1955, to two university students, Joanne Carole Schieble and Syrian born Abdulfattah "John" Jandali who were both unmarried at the time.He was adopted at birth by Paul Reinhold Jobs and Clara Jobs.When asked about his "adoptive parents," Jobs replied emphatically that Paul and Clara Jobs "were my parents."He later stated in his authorized biography that they "were my parents 1,000%."[ Picture of Steve Jobs and his father 5. After their tinkering resulted in the Apple I desktop computer in 1976, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak found themselves at the forefront of an industry on the verge of an explosion. Their fledgling enterprise, the Californiabased Apple Computer, Inc.,quickly set the standard for personal computers and made the duo millionaires while still in their 20s. In the late 1970s, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak engineered one of the first commercially successful lines of personal computers, the Apple II series. Jobs directed its aesthetic design and marketing along with A.C. "Mike" Markkula, Jr. and others. In the early 1980s, Jobs was among the first to see the commercial potential of Xerox PARC's mousedriven graphical user interface, which led to the creation of the Apple Lisa (engineered by Ken Rothmuller and John Couch) and, one year later, creation of Apple employee Jef Raskins Macintosh. 8. Portable Audio Revolution Less than a year after iTunes was released, Apple released the iPod Originally only for Mac users In July 2002, the new iPod was available for Windows users as well Sales skyrocketed and 75% of MP3 players are iPods 14. Death Jobs died at his California home around 3 p.m. on October 5, 2011, due to complications from a relapse of his previously treated isletcell pancreatic cancer resulting in respiratory arrest. He had lost consciousness the day before, and died with his wife, children and sister at his side. 20. Steve Jobs speech at Stanford UniversityYour time is limited. So dont waste it living someone elses life. Dont be trapped by dogma which is living with the results of other peoples thinking. Dont let the noise of others opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuitions. They somehow already know, WHAT YOU TRULY WANT TO BECOME! Everything else, is secondary. 21.
