Project Experience

Victoria Bridge (Ridout Street) over Thames River, Structural Evaluation and Preliminary Design. Completed structural

evaluation for the existing bridge. The structure is a two span steel modified Warren pony-truss structure with an exposed concrete deck. AECOM completed a field investigation and structural evaluation to determine the load carrying capacity of the existing bridge and if the structure has sufficient capacity to add widened sidewalks. Additionally, AECOM prepared a Cultural Heritage Evaluation Report and a preliminary structural design report including a review of rehabilitation and replacement alternatives and lifecycle cost analysis.

City of St. Thomas, Sunset Drive over Kettle Creek, St. Thomas, Ontario. Assisted with the rehabilitation design,

inspection, contract document preparation and contract administration of a 3-span, 2-lane, post-tensioned voided slab bridge, with an overall span length of 50.3 m x 12.8 m width. Work included deck repairs, expansion joint elimination by conversion to a semi- integral abutment, box beam railings, soffit repairs, substructure repairs, bearing replacement, pipe pile protective coatings and approach works.

City of London, Veterans Memorial Parkway Bridge over Thames River, London. Assisted with the rehabilitation design,

inspection and contract administration of a 2-lane, 4-span, 99.7 m long x 15.1 m wide precast concrete girder bridge. Work included localized deck removals, asphalt/waterproofing replacement and modifications to the ends of the approach slab.

City of London, Meadowlily Footbridge Rehabilitation, London, Ontario. Assisted with the rehabilitation design,

inspection, contract document preparation and contract administration for a 103 year old heritage bridge structure consisting

of a 3-span, 86.9 m long x 5.5 m wide riveted steel truss structure. Originally constructed in 1910, the trusses of the north span represent a variation of a double-intersection Warren Truss. Rehabilitation work included the repair of structural steel members, structural steel recoating, longitudinal stringer replacement, railing replacement, bearing replacement, timber deck replacement, approach works and bridge lighting. Aesthetic treatments were sensitive with the original historical appearance and
