In order to be considered Sustainable Jersey Certified certain sustainable action has to be taken:1) Municipal buildings have to have energy

audits2) Carbon footprint has to be completed on the

municipal3) Sustainable Land Use Pledge4) Natural resource inventory

Reasons to become Sustainable Jersey Certified:1) Save Money by implementing sustainable

elements, and receive money through grants and incentives

2) Gain access to guidance and training to develop a sustainable program

3) Promote your town by being on their website, and opportunities for awards

4) Protect the environment by conserving resources
