The Lodge offers a pampered Western experience with diverse adventure

activities set in and around the spectacular natural beauty of Ts’yl-os Provincial

Park, Chilko Lake and the Chilko River valley.

Here, you can combine fishing, rafting, kayaking, heli-hiking, horseback riding,

mountain biking and wildlife viewing with other fun-filled activities returning

each night to luxurious surroundings and outstanding meals.

And Yet, remarkably Civilized

The Lodge at Chilko Lake is so much more than a cabin in the woods. Imbued

with character and whimsical charm, the main lodge

is the center of activity where dining and most of the

socializing takes place.

Luxurious private cabins are thoughtfully located

nearby the main lodge. Each cabin is unique and de-

signed for 1 to 4 people and all have central heating,

running water, private bath and a private deck.

Lodge facilities include an outdoor hot tub, gymna-

sium, green house and nearby stables. The heli-pad

offers either a quick return to civilization or easy

access to the surrounding peaks.

There are also full facilities for conferences and

meetings.

Your Humble Abode

The dining room offers three meals per day, home-

baked goodies, happy hour with specialty appetizers, and dinners featuring

regional cuisine and wild game entrees. The Lodge staff understand the

importance of a hot, fragrant breakfast laced with fresh fruit to give you

the ideal start to your day. They appreciate the Zen-like pleasure of a per-

fect picnic. And when it comes to the evening meal, they know it is an art

form–a blend of abundance, beauty and mind-blowing good food.

The Lodge’s fully licensed bar allows you to meet new friends and share

your holiday experiences. An eclectic selection of wines, liqueurs and

micro brews are also available.

Whether you’re relaxing outside in front of a flickering campfire or lounging

indoors – evening is in many ways the most important part of the day.

More than 2 million sockeye salmon return annually and the

lake is a spawning ground for spring and coho salmon. The main lake boasts an abundance

of lake trout and for the fly fisher there are plenty of bull and rainbow trout. Cast away all

your cares. Choose from guided fly fishing, fully-equipped jon boats, belly boats or simply

wading–and you’ll soon see why the Chilko is any fisherman’s dream destination.

A cast of thousands

meet the localsThe plethora of spawning salmon in the

Chilko River bring out the bruins. Pack your

camera for excellent grizzly bear watching in

late summer and early fall.

With geographical zones often compared to the Grand Canyon, the Chilko River

is unmatched in its awesome diversity and enormous stretches of Class IV white water. You will be treated to rollicking hydraulics and towering

standing waves that cascade for more than 20 miles through deep and narrow lava gorges. Yet not all is the river wild. Those not seeking Class

IV excitement can choose to float the upper Chilko by raft, inflatable kayak or dory, soaking up the scenery instead of big waves.

Wildwater excitement (or not)

Right from the lodge’s private airstrip, our helicopter will lift you up above the lake into an alpinefull of wildflowers. This terrain makes for easy walking and there is almost unlimited room to roam. The 360-degree scenery will

make you feel like the gods as you wander among the mountaintops where very few mortals ever travel.
