I chose to use a black background for my contents page because I wanted to make the word ‘contents’ stand out without adding another colour to the colour scheme. I used the a font from DaFont.com for the heading and then used the fill tool on Photoshop to create a pattern to make it stand out.

I did two other photo shoots for my magazine, one with my friend out of College and one during my media lesson. Along with another photo I’d taken from the Kerrang Relentless Tour I used these on my contents page. I added numbers and captions to each of the photos to tell you what page they were on and who the artist was. I chose these three photos because they were all very different and it was obvious that they would play different genres of music to each other, which gave the feel that my magazine covered more than one genre of music.

Finally I added the list of the contents to the left of the page. I

used the colours in the title to follow the colour scheme and

make the headings stand out. I used the same font as I used on the front cover to keep the house style of the magazine consistent and because I liked how different the text was from the normal fonts

used in magazines. I separated the contents into four sections to

make it easier to follow and to find the pages you wanted to read. I did the headings in a different

colour to make them stand out and to make it a little more interesting.
