Step by step on how to use Text2mindmap

Open the web browser at https://www.text2mindmap.com/

Below is the sample that the web provided.

This is the text area, where we can write our text.

Each text line will become a node in the mind map.

To create a new branch of node (sub node), indent the text by pressing the Tab key.

When you are done, you can click the "Draw Mind Map"-button and watch the mind map evolve.

Please scroll down to see the step by step followed by a picture of how to use it.

An Example:

I want to create a mind map about myself. I pictured my mind map on my head.

On the text area, I start by highlighting the previous example from the web (picture #1 below), writing my

name (Tjandra Purnama) as the heading on the text area and click the "Draw Mind Map"-button. That heading

will be in the middle section (picture #2 below).

I put the mouse at the back of my name and hit “Enter” button. Usually, the next text will be indented directly.

I write down the following information in the text area:

where I am from

when I was born

how many siblings I have

I still want to add more details under “where I am from.”

I indent the text “East Java” by pressing the Tab key.

Every time I want to add more detail, I need to indent the text.

The position of the node can be moved by dragging the node to wherever location we want.

When I am done with my mind map (means that everyone can see the mind map clearly with the nodes),

there are two options I can choose:

1. Save

When I still want to edit the mind map, I choose to save it.

2. Download

When I do not want to do any editing on the mind map, I choose download.

SAVE

When we click the “Save” button, I have to add the title of the mind map and an email address

([email protected]). To make it easy for me to search it again, I name it “my

name_mindmap” and press “Save.”

On the window, I need to send the information to my email address so that I can edit it again. So, I write down

my email address again ([email protected]) and click “Close.”

Download

When I choose “Download” button, there are two options (To download it as a PDF or as an image). The

download process starts automatically and the downloaded file can be found at the Download folder.
