Step-by-Step of Film Poster

Step 1

This is the photo that I want to use for both my poster and my magazine, I do not want any of the background in the photo because of the window, and the

background outside, although the mise-en-scene inside the shots suits the mood of my film

Step 2

After removing the background and adding some text this is what I came up with. I liked the text because the it connotes expense, but I need to sort out

how large the text will be etc. so people find it easier to read.

Step 3When trying to decide what to do next I had a look at a few different film

posters, from the same genre….

These are film posters, I like the colours in the posters because I think rather than having a background you pay more attention to the characters.

Step 4

I think my poster is still a bit boring, so I am going to experiment with adding different things into the background. I tried to add the man, but I think this is too dark. And it draws your

attention away from the bride.

I then tried experimenting with different pictures. I did this, but I did not like it because I don’t think the

colouring is as good.

Step 5

Step 6Finally I added a silvery outline on the background of the original poster.

Which I do not think draws the eye away from the Bride.
