When do you preterite stem change? When do you preterite stem change?

Stem changing in the preterite is EASY!!!! Follow these three simple rules:

1. You stem change only “IR” verbs.2. You only stem change the “3rd” and “3rd

plural” forms.3. The verb will only change from “E-I” or “O-U”.4. You conjugate the other forms like normal.
