ENGFauno Bistrot 3.0 gives the opportunity to relax in a place where nature and industrial de-sign come together to merge. The natural and artificial light, iron and wood determine the hybridization of an urban NewYork-scandinavian atmosphere allowing a perfect harmony between the city and nature. The ceiling, scanned by a serial repetition in firwood boards, gives depth to the space, which gets a forward-reaching and brightness and also retains a proportional relationship with the visible technical fixtures on the ceiling. The space is marked by respect for the balance of proportions and geometries proposed; the end result is such

a post-modern forest, where nature meets the urban landscape.

ITAIl Fauno 3.0 Bistrot dà la possibilità di rilassarsi in uno spazio dove natura e design industri-ale si incontrano fino a fondersi. La luce naturale e artificiale, il ferro e il legno determinano l’ibridazione di un’atmosfera urbana dal gusto newyorkese-scandinavo permettendo una perfetta armonia tra città e natura. Il soffitto, scandito da una ripetizione seriale in tavole di abete, dona profondità allo spazio, che acquista una visione prospettica di ampio respiro e luminosità e mantiene un rapporto proporzionale con gli impianti tecnici a vista. Lo spazio è scandito dal rispetto delle proporzioni e dagli equilibri delle geometrie proposte; il risul-tato finale è così una foresta post moderna, dove la natura incontra il paesaggio urbano.

Questo lavoro riguarda l’elaborazione di un progetto di tesi sull’ex Istituto scolastico “Angelo Mai” situato a Roma nel Rione Monti. Il progetto am-bisce a recuperare l’ex-istituto proponendo una riconversione degli edifici abbandonati in spazi per la cultura, per l’artigianato, l’arte e per il movimento della moda emergente. La nuova biblioteca e la sala conferenze sono i due

edifici di nuova costruzione che danno vita ad un nuovo spazio pubblico.

ENGWith stARTT architectural firm of Rome, is developed the concept of an Orthopedic Medical Center in Dubai (70,000 sm - height 170 meters). Two volumes (the tower and the base) as a structure of the human spine, the tower (25 levels) and the base, a block of distrubution and connection that spreads over 5 floors, stand as containers of functions: hospital, rehabilitation, hotels, diagnostics, spa, laboratories, reception, bar and restaurant, etc. Everything revolves around an artificial oasis on

the ground floor.ITA

In collaborazione con lo studio stARTT di Roma, viene sviluppato il concept di un Centro Medico Ortopedico a Dubai per una superficie complessiva di circa 70.000 mq ed un’altezza di 170 metri. Due volumi (la torre e la base) che raffigurano la struttura della colonna vertebrale umana; la torre, un elemento verticale di 25 piani, e la base, un blocco di distrubuzione e connessione verticale e orizzontale che si sviluppa su 5 piani, si presentano come contenitori di diverse funzioni: de-genza, riabilitazione, hotel, diagnostica, spa, laboratori, reception, bar, ristorante, uffici e reparti clinici, eliporto. Tutto gravita attorno all’ oasi artificiale al piano terra.

ENGIn collaboration with Sapienza University of Rome, TNT Project is a proposal for the munici-pality of Rome and in a particular way for the Tevere River Area. The idea comes from the needings of Rome inhabitants. For a roman it’s fundamental living with a view of the city and of the walls of its own river; to spend their time next to the river, to find a new chance for liv-ing it, to watch it, to take pictures of the city, to study and to be an artist on its new terraces: that’s the way to make all these desires come true along the whole Tevere River Area. This is TNT, not only a multipurpose terrace displaced in strategic urban points but above all a

contemporary project for a new Rome.

ITAIn collaborazione con Sapienza Università di Roma, il progetto TNT è una proposta per il comune di Roma, e in particolar modo per il Bacino del Tevere. L’ idea nasce dai bisogni degli abitanti di Roma. Per un romano è fondamentale vivere con una vista della città e del fiume che da sempre la percorre; trascorrere del tempo a contatto con il fiume, trovare una nuova possibilità per viverlo, per osservarlo da una diversa prospettiva, per fotografare da nuovi punti la città, per studiare o essere un artista sulle nuove terrazze: questo è il modo per rendere tutto ciò possibile. Questo è TNT, non solo una terrazza polivalente dislocata in punti strategici urbani ma, soprattutto, un progetto contemporaneo per una nuova Roma.

ENGThe new public library of Briosco aims to integrate a volume almost completely unde ground and the hill currently part of the park of the Alpines. Outside, the building stands on the scene showing its vertical and horizontal volumes, each containing a specific function. Inside, however, the functional program is developed in alternat-ing solids (spaces of the library) and voids (patios), taking shape as a fragmented and dynamic path. A new sustainable space, suitable to the game and reading. A

catalyst of prosperity for the whole local community.ITA

La nuova biblioteca comunale di Briosco mira all’integrazione tra una volumetria quasi completamente ipogea e la collina attualmente facente parte del parco degli Alpini. All’esterno l’edificio si staglia sul panorama mostrando le proprie emer-genze verticali e orizzontali, volumi contenenti ciascuno una specifica funzione. Al suo interno, invece, il programma funzionale si sviluppa in un’alternanza di pieni (spazi della biblioteca) e vuoti (patii), configurandosi come spazio frammentato e dinamico. Un nuovo spazio sostenibile, adatto al gioco e alla lettura. Un cataliz-

zatore di benessere per tutta la comunità locale.

ENGThe city becomes a network of Modern Nodes of Local Connection (Mo.No.Co.Lo), in which the first ring of the beltway of Latina becomes the heart of the city and a privileged meeting point. The project starts from the choice of an urban park as sustainable access to the city center, an act to implement an urban development that emphasizes the importance of historical - cultural and landscape of the core of the city of Latina, tracing pedestrian and cycle paths connected by a circular route

and overhead observation points containing a functional mix.ITA

La città diventa una rete costituita da Moderni Nodi di Collegamento Locale (Mo.No.Co.Lo), in cui il primo anello della circonvallazione di Latina diventa il cuore pulsante della città ed un privilegiato punto d’incontro. ENGThe Ortificio is a metropolitan garden designed for the terrace of the Lanificio Factory. The purpose of the project is to propose a natural landscape in an urban environment, using cheap and recycled materials, disposed according to different levels of density and height of pallets and collars which constitute cultivation areas and public areas; at the center of the terrace we find the multipurpose qr-code pavillion, a link to all the information of Lanificio Factory.

ITAL’ Ortificio è un orto metropolitano progettato per la terrazza dell’ associazi-one culturale Lanificio Factory. Lo scopo del progetto è riproporre un land-scape naturale in un contesto urbano, utilizzando materiale a basso costo ed riciclato, disposto seguendo diversi livelli di densità e altezza di pallets e collari i quali configurano aree di coltura e zone di sosta; al centro della terrazza il padiglione polifunzionale qr-code, un link a tutte le informazioni del

Lanificio Factory.

ENGThis building lies in a space that can be considered a portion of fabric filter be-tween consolidated and green space of the municipal gardens. A ‘megablock’ that contains the three foundational aspects of the project: an open public square, a covered square and a system of arcades for commercial use. A project of a pedes-trian nature where residents live in accommodation generated by a matrix which lies into three specific types of flats that are interchangeable in flexible configurations

up to reach 123 units.ITA

Il contesto nel quale si inserisce questo intervento a destinazione residenziale e commerciale nei pressi di Frosinone, è una sorta di spazio filtro tra una porzione di tessuto consolidato e lo spazio verde della villa comunale. Un ‘megablock’, un grande isolato che racchiude i tre aspetti fondativi del progetto: una piazza pub-blica aperta in testata, una piazza coperta (cuore dell’edificio) e un sistema di portici. Un progetto dalla natura ‘pedonale’ dove gli ‘abitanti’ vivono nei 103 al-loggi la cui matrice risiede in tre specifiche tipologie abitative che si intercambiano

in configurazioni flessibili fino a raggiungere le 123 unità.

ENGA simple and linear shape. A stereometric shape that converts the fountain in an element of recognition in different locations within the parks of London. This drinking fountain proposes the typical “nasone romano drinking fountain” and consists in a free standing and apparently simple volume, divided into three sections with different heights, that hosts inside a traditional hydraulic system, whose operation is governed by the rotation of the intermediate volume. Rotating around a hinge, connected to

a valve, this volume allows the tap to open letting the water to flow out..ITA

Un’ idea semplice e lineare. Una forma stereometrica che converte la fontana in un elemento di riconoscimento all’interno dei percorsi nei parchi di Londra. Questa fontanella ripropone il tipico “nasone romano” e consiste in un volume apparente-mente semplice, diviso in tre sezioni con altezze diverse, che ospitano al loro interno un sistema idraulico tradizionale, il cui funzionamento è disciplinato dalla rotazione del volume intermedio. Ruotando attorno ad un perno, collegato ad una valvola,

questo volume permette la fuoriuscita dell’acqua dal rubinetto.

ENGThe competition (two phases) ended with the preliminary design phase through deepen-ing of previous consultions with acoustic, structural, engineering and related energy savings. Poli(s)pazio is a polyfunctional building for 6000 people with an area of about 26.000 sm suitable for hosting sporting events, concerts, fairs, expos, conferences, conference rooms, ex-hibition halls, restaurants and offices. Its peculiarity is the high level of flexibility that allows the oblique slab, the basin below and the tower, to interchange their different functional areas,

thus meeting the demand for future use provided by urban standards of the area.

ITAIl concorso (in due fasi) si è concluso con la progettazione preliminare della proposta di progetto presentata nella prima fase con consulenze acustiche, strutturali, impiantistiche e di risparmio energetico. Poli(s)pazio è un edificio polifunzionale per 6000 persone con una superficie utile di circa 26.000 mq adatto ad ospitare eventi sportivi, concerti, fiere, expo, congressi, sale conferenze, sale espositive, ristorante e uffici. Sua peculiarità è l’alto livello di flessibilità che permette, alla piastra inclinata, all’invaso sottostante e alla “torre”, di in-tercambiarsi diversi ambiti funzionali, rispondendo così all’ utenza prevista dagli standards urbanistici dell’area.
