Replace Cooling Tower(Building 2320)
• Supports the cooling system for the entire ENJJPT Squadron Ops Building• 12 years old and beyond economical repair…normal service life is 7 – 9 years• Rated RED by installation’s civil engineer
• “Most likely of any cooling tower at Sheppard AFB to go inoperable at any time.”• No feasible work around if failure occurs during the peak summer heat periods
3
Composite Clean Room
Advanced Composite Clean Room
Zero particle “clean” room needed to accomplish repair to composite fiberglass and carbon fiber aircraft panels and components• New T-38 flight controls• New T-38 -33 wing panels
• T-6 flight controls and engine cowling panels
Without clean room, maintenance and repairs or composite components is not authorized which would require shipping components for repair or purchasing new components
4
Taxiway J Shoulder Repair
• Existing shoulders must be repaired• Originally installed in 1959• Adjacent to T-6 power check pads and ENJJPT ramp• Asphalt surface is brittle, crumbling and creating FO• No longer maintainable…“unsustainable”
• Existing shoulder width reduced from 50’• 30’ width for east shoulder to Taxiway Kilo for emergency vehicle access from
the north fire station• 10’ width for west shoulder
• Shoulder area not repaved returned to sod

Repair Electrical Distribution Hangar 2406 (T-38 Phase Dock)• Provide additional outlets for T-38 maintenance• Replace worn out electrical panels which overheat during summer months
Replace Roof Hangar 2402 (Paint Barn)• Roof leaks during rain events in several locations within the paint room negatively impacting
aircraft painting operations
