You are invited to join us for a presentation by Dr. Jeff Giguere, MD on Wednesday, October 23 (meal5:45-6:15, Program 6:15-7:15). The menu will be burrito bake, chips and salsa, fresh fruit, salad bar,dessert.

This will be the second installment of our programs focusing on how the diagnosis of cancer and thetreatment of cancer affects the individual, the caregiver, family and friends.

Join the women of John Knox for a delightful evening of fellowship, food, and “The Bible in 45 Minutes.”We’re gathering at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday, October 17 for a potluck salad supper,dessert, and a program. No need to RSVP—just bring yourself, a friend, and your favorite salad ordessert to share.

Do you know a lot of Bible stories, but wonder how they all fit into one story? From pre-history throughexile and and into the New Testament, this entertaining overview will help you tie the great themes ofthe Bible together in just 45 minutes.

Barbara Stoop, our speaker, has spent 40 years in ministry after graduating from seminary at HarvardDivinity School in 1979. She went on to receive a second masters degree from the Presbyterian Schoolof Christian Education. She served churches in western Pennylvania and Tampa, Florida beforecoming to Greenville in 1988. She has just retired after 31 years as the Associate Pastor for Educationat Westminster Presbyterian Church. Barbara enjoys arts and crafts, and teaches classes for childrenand adults.

Prayers for Middle School RetreatJoin us in prayer for our middle school students and leaders who will attend their annual retreat atBonclarken Camp and Conference Center this weekend. We pray that their weekend together will befull of meaningful worship, new and deepened friendships, and a whole lot of fun memories!

High School Triune NightAll high school students are invited to join us this Sunday as we prepare and servedinner at Triune Mercy Center! We will meet outside the Fellowship Hall at 3:00 andreturn to the church by 6:00. Can’t wait to serve with you!

No regular Youth Group this week!Due to the Middle School Retreat and Triune opportunity for high schoolers, we will not gather forregular programming on Sunday night! Hope you enjoy the night off with your families and we will seeyou back soon.

Come enjoy a hotdogdinner provided by our Boy Scout Troop, and then head to theparking lot for some trick-or-treating. You can even decorate yourcar and hand out treats! Friday, November 15 – Family Mission NightAll of our children and their families are invited to join us in the Fellowship Hall on Friday, November 15for a great night of fellowship and mission. We will share a meal together, followed by several missionprojects that will help us reach out to our neighbors in need. Stay tuned for more details!
