Why holiday projects?
● Keep students engaged during a very energetic time of the year.
● Provide kids an outlet for their energy with hands on projects.
● Get excited about the holidays while practicing STEAM concepts!
Things to remember in the classroom
● Now may not be the best time to introduce new concepts. Base projects on skills students have already learned.
● Recognize all celebrations! Do projects that students can customize for the holidays they celebrate.
● Setting clear goals and maintaining routines is more important than ever as students get jittery about holiday time.
● ‘Tis the season of giving! Think of projects students can make for other people.
● Strip pipe cleaners at the ends
● Connect a pipe cleaner to each leg of an LED
● Connect the other ends of the pipe cleaners to the appropriate side of the battery
● Twist the pipe cleaners into a holiday shape!
