* Armor protects the cockpit, places of guns installation, the windows of the pilot

and copilot, and the outer part of the cockpit;

* The scheme of armoring, in general, does not contain any structural or

aerodynamic changes of the aircraft;

* Armor plates could quickly installed and dismantled by the technical staff;

* Armoring equipment is made of lightweight components, and does not

significantly change the center of gravity of Helicopter;

* Armoring equipment as a whole does not exceed 176 kg weight;

* The warranty on armor plates : two years on the factory defect and 5 years on

the ballistic integrity, under the right conditions of use;

* The manufacturer will provide technical guidance, which will indicate the

maximum deviation of the armored gaskets, installation and dismantling

manual, and other information on how to properly use ibid equipment.

Installation of armor plates on Mi-17 Helicopters will be done as per

EOM documentation for armoring of Mi-8MT / Mi-17 H/C.

General Characteristics:

*Armor is used against 7.62 x 54R ammunition (the

core of mild steel), issued from a distance of 50

meters (minimum).

* Ballistic panels (without external cladding) will be able to withstand direct

shots of 7.62 x 54R ammunition (with the core of mild steel). The certificate,

certified by the manufacturer or the laboratory will be attached;

* Armor plates will be made of only high quality certified materials;

* Armored plates have anti-vibration properties;

* Plates can be easily installed inside the helicopter, with the fastening system

that does not require perforation of the helicopter frame / structure;

* In each plate will be labeled respective number;

The panels of internal armoring correspond to the following mandatory

conditions.
