Parish Bereavement Group Grief can be very lonely even when you have loved ones around. The Bereavement Support Group offers help to those who are

experiencing difficulties in coping with the death of a loved one. This includes miscarriages and still births. We also offer

support to those suffering from terminal illness, and support to their loved ones.

Sunday World Mission Day

Monday Saint Anthony Mary Claret

St Antony Mary Claret was born at Sallent, Spain in 1807. As a priest he is remembered for his missionary work in Catalonia and the Canary Islands, and founding the Claretian Fathers. He was ordained Bishop of Cuba. He spread devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He died in 1870.

Wednesday Saint Cedd

St Cedd, like Chad, was educated at Lindisfarne and was bishop to the East Saxons at Bradwell, with his See at Othona. He died in 664.

Friday Feast of Saints Simon & Jude

St Simon was from Cana in Galilee and known as the Zealot. St Jude, also known in the gospels at Thaddaeus, is the author of a short epistle in the New Testament. They preached in Mesopo-tamia and Persia and were martyred. Their names appear in the Roman Canon.

Baptism To arrange for the baptism of your child/children you will need to contact the parish office on 01527 63096 or visit the parish website to find out when the next available Baptism Meeting is for you to attend. At this meeting you will be given the Bap-tism Form to take away with you for completion. Once com-pleted please bring it with you to the parish office on either a Monday or Friday morning between 10am—11am when one of the priests will be able to see you and book the date for baptism. Baptisms normally take place on a Sunday at 12.45pm in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. There is an administrative fee of £30 for Baptism which should be paid at the time of arranging the date.
