    The present issue of the District Statistical Handbook seeks

    to provide statistical information on various socio-economic aspectsof the district on a compact form. Attempts have been made toincorporate latest available information in this publication maintainingcontinuity of the time series of the data published in earlier issues.Data at the Block level have also been incorporated as far asavailable.
