SAMPLE PROJECTS
n Analyze customer satisfaction surveys.
n Create a logistic regression model to help predict
the risk of a patient developing a certain disease.
n Use Analysis of Variance to determine which of
three production methods is most efficient.
n Create trend analyses for sales revenue,
expenditures and profit of stores/companies.
n Use the Chi-Square test to determine if occupation
and type of vehicle owned are related.
n Determine how large a sample is needed for a
comparative study to achieve designated power
level in detecting a statistical difference between
treatments.

OUR MISSION
The Statistical Consulting Center (SCC) at UW-La Crosse aims to provide valuable and affordable
statistical services to businesses, organizations, and companies in the La Crosse, Wisconsin area.
The SCC not only hopes to benefit the local economy, but also to provide a helpful and meaningful
internship opportunity for statistics students at UW-La Crosse.

ABOUT US The Mathematics department at UW-La Crosse has 30 full-time faculty members with Ph.D., including six with Ph.D. in statistics:

OUR SERVICES
n Create data summary and report with tables and graphs.
n Data analysis and interpretation of data using univariate and multivariate analysis, including ANOVA, MANOVA, ANCOVA, and MANCOVA.
n Data modeling using various forms of Regression, including binary logistic regression.
n Survival Analysis including Kaplan-Meier Analysis.
*Pricing will depend on the type of client and project length. New clients will receive 60% off their first project through December 31, 2014. Contact the SCC for further information.
n Reliability and validity testing of surveys.
n Study designs and statistical power analysis for sample size calculations.
n Workshop on how to use the powerful but free statistical software R, or other popular statistical packages like SAS and SPSS.
n Other methods like MCMC simulation, Bootstrapping, nonparametric methods and Bayesian methods.
