The Coral Triangle is a geographical term referring to the tropical marine waters of
Malaysia, Indonesia, Timor-Leste , Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Philippines.
Coral Triangle: a region of the global epicenter of marine species diversity and is one of the top priorities for marine conservation.

The Philippines, being situated at the apex of the coral triangle, is considered to be the richest marine eco-region in the world "Center of Marine Biodiversity" in the world, surpassing the Great Barrier Reef of Australia.
