MUMBAI CONTEXT

• Around 75 lac urban population Commute in

Mumbai by local Trains.

• We all know how the locals are flooded,

• To carry this population to their destinations

in time we need other forms of

infrastructures like flyovers ,excellent roads,

elevated Roads, sea routes & Water

transport

URBANIZATION

• Other peripheral cities are developing very

rapidly due to industrialization & job

opportunities.

• Middle class or Higher Middle class population

is growing faster than ever before.

• The Real Estate is growing right up to Badlapur

,Titwala & Shahapur on NH3 & upto Karjat on

NH4

• Concentration of too much of traffic in any

corridor creates traffic jams ,delay in

reaching destination & loss of time. It is

said , “ You can earn the money back but

not the time lost”.

• In fact the transport infrastructure shall be

such that you need not require to spend

more than a hour to reach any destination

in city.

• Pollution due to traffic in the form of air

pollution, noise pollution is very high

than the permissible level.

• Around 25 % saving in fuel can be

achieved by developing infrastructure

in transport. This will reduce pollution

& time of transport.

• This will help in reducing C.A.D. of

nation as 90 % fuel is imported

• The additional Infrastructure Company,

“MSRDC India International” is in making &

task of the New Company will be to under take

consultancy for Various Projects out side

Maharashtra, in India & also internationally.

• It will also under take the PPP projects or EPC

projects in & out of India.

• The head quarter of the MSRDC INDIA

INTERNATIONAL will be in Mumbai.54

MSRDC INDIA INTERNATIONAL

• MSRDC has rich experience in infrastructure through

construction of iconic facility like Mumbai Pune

Expressway, Rajeev Gandhi Sea Link, Mumbai Flyovers

project etc.

• MSRDC now intends to expand its activities horizons across

other states of India as well as Globally to harness its

capacity and expertise, though MSRDC India International

Ltd. (Proposed new Company).

• MSRDC has already received several request from various

agencies from various Indian States, National Highway

Authority of India (NHAI) and also from USA and other

Countries to associate in the form of consortium partner or

for development of Logistic Park, Multi Model Transport

Corridor etc.55

• MSRDC has also ventured in to hosing sector.

• MSRDC is developing the housing project at Lodhivali

21.00km from Kalmboli, the starting point of Mumbai

Pune expressway Express way.
