DAY5 MOSCOW < High Speed Train > ST PETERSBURG (B /Local L /Chinese D)

Today, begin your tour to the famed Moscow Metro, one of most beautiful subway stations, built during the Stalin era and nicknamed

“Palace for the People”. The Moscow Metro was built for the sole purpose to prove to the westthat Russia had become a modern country.

Then, we continue to Arbat Street which existed since 13th century, once an enclave of court artisans now offering souvenirs from many

craft stalls. If time permits, we will make a stop at Izmaylovo Market, a one-stop souvenir shopping venue in Moscow merchandising

matryoshka dolls to fur hats to lacquer boxes. In the afternoon, we will board the high speed Sapsan train to St Petersburg, “Venice of the

North”.

Great. Admire the Grand Cascade and Water Avenue with its unequalled collection of magnificent fountains (operate early May to early

October and weather permitting), canals and opulent bronze statues. Visit the baroque-style Winter Palace, magnificently located on the

bank of the Neva River also housing The State Hermitage Museum, largest art gallery in Russia. Be awed by one of the finest art

collections founded on the original 18th century collection of Emperess Catherine the Great. This evening, you may consider attending the

in the world and covered with 220 pounds of pure gold. Then, learn about the 500
