OVERVIEW

The Calaveras map features a giant sequoia, a cave and a Mark Twain cut-out in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the publication of “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras.”

STAFFING STATION

Volunteer seating area is behind the giant sequoia “desk” on the left of the display. Our rotating brochure holder will contain partner brochures that will need to be kept stocked.

FEASTS TABLE

The table on the right at the front will display Calaveras “feast” components and our emphasis for this is on our Farmers Markets.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be friendly and engaging. Greet everyone. Calaveras is a friendly place, make sure you convey that at all times!

• To be the best volunteer you can be, make sure to read the Volunteer Manual. It will contain essential information.

• Read through a Calaveras Activities Guide. We add new things every year… Calaveras has more to offer than ever before.

• Keep our booth stocked with Calaveras Activities Guides and brochures.

• Help kids and families with their photos if needed.• Offer a Calaveras Activities Guide and encourage VIP

membership to every person.• Stay awake! If you are tired, and need a break, please

leave the booth.• Keep snacks and drinks to a minimum when inside the

booth. Keep your goodies hidden where visitors cannot see them.

• Most importantly HAVE FUN!

GIVEAWAYS

• The most important giveaway is the Calaveras Activities Guide. Don’t be conservative with the guides … we have plenty!

• This year, VIP activation cards should only be given to people who DON’T OWN smart phones.

• A table-top display will give details on easy phone activation.

• Plastic jumping frogs: please give away just one per kid or kid at heart.
