Give students clear objectives & initial training

Provide regular feedback and encouragement

Encourage learner to organise and share assets to suit the course purpose

Change your teaching approach to suit the new tool

Include or replace F2F time with online interaction and feedback

Purpose of the e-portfolioPurpose of the e-portfolio

Students can choose what they share with others Focus can however alter how a learner views & uses

the e-portfolioSummative assessment (evidence)

Student may be less personal i.e. say what they think is required rather than how they truly feel

Formative assessment (reflective learning) Allows students to be more informal and frank

Showcase evidence (for employment) Care needs to be taken to present the individuals abilities well &

across a range of their skills
