Starry Starry NightStarry Starry Night was created by Bobby and Tiffany Vossoughi with the hope to raise awareness and funds for STAR Institute, the premier treatment center for children and families living with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and other sensory issues associated with conditions such as ADHD and autism.

Donations will also be used for scholarships for families in Arizona. Scholarships support therapy at STAR Institute which has an unsurpassed track record in SPD therapy.

This will be the fifth annual Starry Starry Night Gala and it continues to grow every year.

The total raised last year was $107,000!

About Sensory Processing DisorderSPD is a neurological disorder that dis-rupts the way an individual processes and responds to sensations. Individuals with SPD may over- or under-respond to one or more sensations (e.g., a loud sound, or light touch), crave sensations or may have problems with motor skills and coordination. One child in every classroom has SPD. That’s between four and 12 million children under age 18 and one to three million children less than five years of age.

Dr. Lucy Jane Miller, founder of STAR Institute, is widely recognized as the leader in SPD research worldwide, seeking science-grounded answers that will change the lives of children and adults living with this disabling neurodevelopmental condition.
