Rhythms are everywhere in the universe: sunrise, sunset; full moon, new moon; summer, autumn, winter, spring. Your heartbeat and sleepare also rhythmic. How can you restore your energy during the day, week, month, and year? One of your fundamental needs to spend andrecover energy.

Unplug and reset. Unplug from your email, work, phone, computer oranything else that consumes your energy. Take a minivacation.

Physical Energy

Healthy nutrition is essential.Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.Drink water during the day.Find what you like and exercise often.Interval training is very beneficial.Quality of sleep is as important as quantity of sleep.Take daily 1530 minute naps if you can.

Emotions

Emotional energy influences your selfconfidence, selfdiscipline, sociability and empathy.Frustration, anger, sorrow or fear are toxic for your body and mind.Positive emotions are like muscles that you can build.Pleasure in your life is very important.Positive energy can come from doing what you enjoy.Pleasure quality jus more important than quantity.Watching TV is an illusion of pleasure.Focus on finding meaningful pleasure.Establish positive relationships that build emotional energy.Pleasure quality is more important than quantity.Meaningful relationships at work can boost your performance.Practice listening to people and expressing empathy.Effective leaders can elicit positive emotions at times of stress.Balance exercise and recovery in emotional energy.Push yourself past your limits, rest and renew, then push again.

Mind

The five stages of creativity

Creativity is the process of jumping between the eft brain and tightbrain. Creativity doesn’t come from stagnation. You have to keep yourmind moving.

1. Insight define problem or creative challenge.2. Saturation identify the task and immerse yourself in similar workcreated by the masters and study it.

3. Incubation walk away from the task and let it sit in your head forawhile. Allow the right hemisphere of the brain to process thethoughts creatively.

4. Illumination do something to break up your day. If you’re atyour desk, step away and go somewhere else. You are more likelyget your best ideas away from your usual surroundings. Putyourself in a new situation and let that aha! moment surface.
