About Howard Schultz… Howard Mark Schultz is an American businessman and writer. He is best known as the chairman and CEO of Starbucks and a

Starbucks: beginnings In 1971, Jerry Baldwin, Zev Siegel,
and Gordon Bowker opened the first store in Seattle.
Inspired and mentored by Alfred Peet. First store opened in Pikes Place, a
touristy area in Seattle. Customers were encouraged to learn
how to grind the beans and make their own freshly brewed coffee at home.
The store did not offer fresh-brewed coffee sold by the cup like today, they sold beans and coffee makers.

Expanding its reach to new markets in India, coffee chain Tata Starbucks on Thursday announced opening of two outlets at the National Capital's Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Starbucks had entered the Indian market in October 2012 and operates five stores in Mumbai and four in New Delhi.
The company plans to open 50 outlets in India this year.
