STAR Reading and STAR Early Literacy

Reinforce to students the importance of this assessment
Monitor students while taking assessment

Set goals for each nine weeks based on STAR results
Encourage students to read a variety of books from fiction and nonfiction genres
Set aside time for daily reading practice and for taking A.R. quizzes
Motivate students through rewards but make it about more than earning a prize
