Mini Test
• The Amazing Race was a formative assessment game I created to test my students’ knowledge about Latitude and Longitude in an authentic way. Prior to the class, I had created envelopes and placed them around the school in hidden areas. Within the envelopes had 2 things; a piece of paper that was a jingle and clue for their next ‘pit stop’ and a question they had to answer before moving on. I printed out three maps that students needed to be able to answer the questions. The student’s had a great time playing this game and it gave me insight into what they did and did not know and I was able to reflect upon this and go over it again and clarify misunderstandings during the next class
