Placement Exams

All CSU campuses require new freshmen to take the English Placement Test (EPT) and the Entry Level Mathematics (ELM) exam prior to enrollment unless you are exempt by scores earned on other appropriate tests (EAP/SAT/ACT/AP).

Tests are scheduled at CSU San Marcos and at each CSU campus. You are encouraged to sign up for these exams as early as possible so your scores will be available when you attend orientation. For more information, visit www.ets.org/csu.
