STAGECRAFTERS PRESENTS Broadway Buddies Camp

An Special Needs, Adaptive Musical Theatre Program

For campers ages 13-29. Students with special needs will work side by side with Stagecrafters’ staff, sharing their enthusiasm for song and dance. Students will spend one week learning music, dialogue and choreography as they prepare for two performances of Peter Pan, Jr and/or Beauty and the Beast, Jr. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in acting, voice, dance, arts & crafts and swimming. All activities will be adapted to individual needs and all abilities are welcome! Broadway Buddies is an adaptive program which affords participants of varying abilities the opportunity to collaborate with others, develop personal pride, and realize greater self-confidence. ALL Campers will receive a role.

Auditions* for Peter Pan, Jr and Beauty and the Beast, Jr. will take place Saturday, May 30 1:00-3:30pm at Pepper Pike Learning Center.

Session I (Peter Pan, JR) Dates – Monday, June 8-Friday, June 12 - 9:00am-3:00pm – Pepper Pike Learning Center Performances – Friday, June 12, 7:00pm at Pepper Pike Learning Center - $5 per ticket Saturday, June 13, 1:00pm at Pepper Pike Learning Center - $5 per ticket

Session 2 (Beauty and the Beast, JR) Dates – Monday, July 27-Friday, July 31 - 9:00am-3:00pm – Pepper Pike Learning Center Performances – Friday, July 31, 7:00pm at Pepper Pike Learning Center - $5 per ticket Saturday, Aug. 1, 1:00pm at Pepper Pike Learning Center - $5 per ticket NEW – We are now offering an overnight camp – The Dream Team! – occurring during Session 2 Broadway Buddies camp. A one-week sleep-a-way camp for students with special needs. Spend an entire week with your theatre friends participating in a variety of organized games, crafts, movies, and more. Participants must be currently enrolled in Stagecrafters Broadway Buddies Day Camp in order to be eligible. This Super Star experience includes sleeping accommodations for two campers and two counselors in their very own quad. Each quad is complete with four separate bedrooms, lounge area, restroom and air conditioning! Experienced staff, volunteers and evening nurse on call.

Stagecrafters is a program of Orange Community Education and Recreation.

* Auditions aren’t required. They are so the campers may experience all aspects of participating in a production. We will have a song for them to sing, a dance for them

to learn, and a reading.
