KINDERGARTEN NEWS

Our Kindergarten class has been very busy since coming back from the Christmas Holidays. We lost two of our students – Mateo who moved to sunny Florida and Dillon who moved to beautiful warm Ari-zona. We got a new student in March and want to welcome Nathan and his family.

We had a great time during Catholic schools week especially having lunch with a special person and get-ting a visit from our favorite dog “Clifford”. We en-joyed the book fair and many of us brought books that we are now reading to the class.

February was a very busy month for us. Besides learning all our Math, Reading, Religion, Social Studies and Science, we had a lot of things to “celebrate” and learn about. We celebrated Ground Hog Day, Mardi Gras, Valentine’s Day, President’s day and our 100th day of school. For each of the cele-brations we had a couple lessons on why these days were celebrated. For our 100th day of school we did everything in “100”. We measured ourselves against 100 cubes. We counted out 100 pieces of fruit loops and then made them into a necklace. We did a poster with 100 dot to dots and a pattern of 100 balloons. We brought in 100 things we collected from home and many more “100” activities.

We also painted a bar stool for the Blue and White Ball. We made it a Black Hawk stool. We also were very fortunate to have Mrs. Karkazis donate a handmade

lace afghan to our class for the silent auction at the Blue and White Ball. As we look forward to Spring, we are reading more and some of us can read books to the class by our-selves. We are getting much bet-ter at math and are practicing our adding and subtracting. We are en-joying trying several science experiments some which work and some that don’t. We are having a fun time learning and getting ready to become first grade students.

RENEW MY CHURCH

Archbishop Cupich has written a column in the Catholic New World and Católico on the Archdioce-san planning process. “Renew My Church” is an archdiocese-wide process to strengthen parish vitality for the long-term future. This process will continue over the coming months and years and will be carried out in wide consultation with the clergy and laity. The Archbishop’s article was published in the Febru-ary 7 issue of the Catholic New World which will arrive in subscribers’ homes this week, and also may be found on the Archdiocese of Chicago’s website, www.archchicago.org, in English, Spanish and Polish.

Please take time to respond to a survey designed to help us better understand the perspectives of Catho-lics across Cook and Lake Counties. Please look for a link to an online survey in today’s bulletin. Paper copies will also be available. I hope all of you will participate, and I look forward to reviewing your responses.

PARISHIONER SURVEY

Archbishop Cupich wants your input: When Archbishop Cupich announced the “Renew My Church” initiative in January, he invited everyone in the Archdiocese of Chicago to participate in the proc-ess of revitalizing our parish communities. Just as Pope Francis asked Catholics across the globe for their input prior to the Synod of Bishops meetings in 2014 and 2015, Archbishop Cupich is asking for your help as the Archdiocese begins a new listening phase of this important effort.

Please take time to respond to a survey designed to help Archbishop Cupich and the Archdiocese better understand the perspectives of Catholics across Cook and Lake Counties. The survey will be available be-ginning on Easter Sunday at:

www.archchicago.orgjrenew

We encourage you to complete the survey online. Paper copies will be available.

www.archchicago.org/renew

www.archchicago.org/renew Zachęcamy do wypełnienia jej w formie elektronic-znej. Ankieta będzie dostępna również w formie drukowanej.

FURNITURE, BOOK AND BAKE SALE!

We are having a garage sale/bake sale on the week-end of April 15, 16 & 17 at the convent. There is a room full of dressers, chairs, shelves and assorted ta-bles for sale. We also have many books to sell of every kind and description. Can you donate sweets? Call Kathy Rudy at 773/637-6565 ext. 100.

1. Powroty Jezusa i nasze.

3. Jezusowe i nasze zmartwychwstanie. Uwierzmy w nią i wołajmy: Jezu, ufam Tobie! Zapraszamy na Koronkę do Bożego Miłosierdzia o godz. 3pm!
